Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Lars Johanson, born and educated in Sweden, is professor
of Turcology at the University of Mainz, Germany. He has published widely on
descriptive and historical linguistics, especially in the domains of
aspect-mood-tense and language contact, mostly focusing on the Turkic
language family. He edits the journal “Turkic Languages” and the monograph
series “Turcologica”.

Éva Á. Csató is professor in Turkic languages at the Department of
Linguistics and Philology, Uppsala University. Her research interests
include Turkic lingusitics, syntactic typology, contact linguistics,
documentation and revitalization of the endagered Karaim language, and the
study of the Turkic minority language Kashkay in Iran. She has published
over a hundred articles and edited several volumes, for example, with Lars
Johanson “The Turkic Languages” (Routledge 1998, 2006). She is in the
editorial board of the journals “Turkic Languages” and “Orientalia
Suecana”.

Michael Schulte is professor and chair of Nordic linguistics at the University of Agder in Norway. He holds a ph.d in historical linguistics from the University of Bonn and has studied in all the Nordic countries,
particularly in Iceland, Norway and Sweden. In 2014 Schulte received the Fridtjof Nansen's Award for excellent research for his work on Old Germanic and Early Nordic linguistics. Schulte has published abundantly in high-profile journals on runology, language history,
historical sociolinguistics and writing systems. At present he is working on the national language project "Norsk språkhistorie" (Norwegian language history), to appear in Oslo in 2015 in four volumes. Schulte is a member of several academies such as The Royal
Norwegian Society of Sciences and Letters (DKNVS) and Royal Gustav Adolf Academy in Sweden (KGAA).

Sırasıyla Szeged Üniversitesi, Leipzig Üniversitesi, Doğu Akdeniz Üniversitesi ve Başkent Üniversitesinde çalıştı. Uppsala Üniversitesi ve Çin Milleteler Üniversitesinde misafir öğretim üyesi olarak bulundu.
